About the Author:
George Michelsen Foy, a Cape Cod native, is a writer and essayist. He has published 14 novels and has worked as illustrator and editor for the former International Herald Tribune and the Cape Cod Register. His other job titles have included merchant marine officer, commercial fisherman, construction worker and factory hand. He was educated at the London School of Economics, and Bennington College's MFA program. He teaches creative writing at New York University, lives in Barnstable County, and is a recipient of an NEA fellowship in fiction and other awards.
